Doing something challenging and discovering unknown insights always fascinated me. My preliminary research experience began four years back and has motivated me to seek novel and innovative solutions towards complex research problems. I strongly feel that scientific explorations will equip me with necessary skills that in turn support me to seek a full-fledged research career. Most importantly, my passion lies in the application of scientific knowledge towards social needs. My five years at IISER Bhopal gave me an opportunity to interact with intellectuals and like-minded people. After the first two years of learning basic sciences, I majored in chemistry with an inclination to pursue research in inorganic branch. Well organized curriculum at IISERB helped me to develop independent thinking capabilities and organizational skills. I also had an opportunity to do two short-term projects at IISER Mohali (under Dr. Angshuman Roy Choudhury) and IIT Bombay (under Prof. Krishna P. Kaliapan) through the esteemed IASc-INSA-NASI Summer Research Fellowship Program. It was a fruitful experience with both the research groups and I learned a great deal from great minds and personalities there. My initial efforts at Dr. ARC’s lab have yielded one international peer-reviewed journal publication. For MS Thesis, I worked on Organomettalic chemistry and Catalysis under the supervision of Dr. Joyanta Choudhury. I struggled a lot in the beginning because I was not exposed to advanced techniques in chemistry. I grasped a lot from my mistakes, it gradually enhanced my confidence and inspired me to successfully complete the project work (Inorg. Chem. 2021, 60, 15, 11684–11692). After bestowed with prestigious PMRF fellowship, I joined as a PhD student at IPC in IISc to pursue my passion in research. Currently, I am working under Prof. P. Thilagar in the research field of Chiral Luminescent materials. His mentoring and the research ambiance at the group is truly having a positive impact on me in developing as an research scholar.
